Montessori Elementary 3 (ME3)

We are pleased to offer Montessori Elementary 3 (ME3) for 9 years of age. The modules will be taught using the Montessori approach, which includes one-to-one, one-to-few and one-to-all presentations. Modules include Geography, History, Biology, Geometry, Math, English. Below are the module details for the same:

Course Module Outline of Module
ME3 Geography The children continue with the topics in the chapters, Composition of the Earth and Examining the Nature of the Elements. They continue learning about the different forces of the earth, gravitational, frictional and magnetic forces.
ME3 History The children are introduced to the topics in the chapter on the Fundamental Needs. They learn about 4 river civilisations. The children continue with more in-depth study on the topics introduced in ME2 History.
ME3 Biology The children now focus on the function work of animals. Function work in Zoology is approached slightly differently, since the body systems cannot be isolated and experimented on. The children look at outward features or parts and their relationship to satisfying the animal’s needs.
ME3 Geometry The children are further introduced to the other topics in the chapter, Fundamental concepts. The children learn about the concept of a polygon, the different polygons and nomenclature of a polygon.
ME3 Mathematics The children learn about Common Fractions and Decimal Fractions and how the 2 concepts are linked.
ME3 English The children go into more detailed work with the different parts of speech introduced in the 3-6 Montessori program. They are also introduced to the Pronoun and Interjection in this year.
