Montessori Elementary 6 (ME6)

We are pleased to offer Montessori Elementary 6 (ME6) for 12 years of age. The modules will be taught using the Montessori approach, which includes one-to-one, one-to-few and one-to-all presentations. Modules include Geography, History, Biology, Geometry, Math, English. Below are the module details for the same:

Course Module Outline of Module
ME6 Geography Geography can be simply divided into physical and political geography. The previous chapters were about physical geography. This chapter brings in the human element. It concentrates on the interrelationship of people with their physical and social environment on a local to global scale. The children will also discover that people can live anywhere and are not dependent on the kind and quantity of vegetation as are animals. People are also not completely dependent on climate, as are plants.
ME6 History The children continue to learn about world history.
ME6 Biology The children learn about the human body and the different systems in the human body.
ME6 Geometry The children are introduced to the concepts of area and volume.
ME6 Mathematics The children are introduced to Algebra, Ratio and Proportion and Signed Numbers. They learn about some of the different standard measurements that we adopt and encounter Word Problems and how to solve them.
ME6 English We expose the children to the writing process and also introduce them to various authors and types of literature and then leave the child to explore further, giving essential keys that may help them expand their field of exploration and deepen their enjoyment. Reading works by a variety of authors, past and present and listening to and reading some of the phrases and figures of speech, etc. bring the children in touch with many different styles of writing.
